- Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction: In coordination with the " Dormitory Green Living ~Earth Hour" the Residential Colleges called upon all dorm residents to participate in a synchronized one-hour lights-out event on March 28th, supporting energy sustainability through concrete action and deepening students' environmental protection awareness.
- Circular Economy: The " Treasure Second-hand Market" held on April 22nd, promoted the concept of sustainable consumption through the exchange and reuse of idle items, maximizing the value of campus resources.
- Interactive Learning: Held on May 26th, the " Learning through Fun, Sustainability Side-by-side:Dormitory Sustainble Living Pop-up Challenge" used fun trivia and simple challenges to naturally root concepts of sustainability and health, encouraging students to practice low-carbon living and self-care amidst their busy campus lives.
Creative Handcrafts and Artistic Feasts: Enriching After-school Life
To enrich students' artistic cultivation and relieve academic pressure, the Residential Colleges held various creative workshops in the Inspiration Space, which has become a popular venue for student interaction and relaxation:
- Creative Aesthetics: A series of popular handcraft courses were offered this semester, including "Wire Creation with Aluminum," "Macrame Healing Card Holder Day," and "Macrame Healing Weaving Day," which combined fine craftsmanship. Additionally, the "Peaceful Mind in Drawing Zentangle" course provided a way for students to cultivate inner peace through art.
- Leisure and Exchange: On May 13th, the "Beatitude Hall Board Game Day – Puzzle Mahjong Party" allowed residents to build friendships through lighthearted competition, promoting physical and mental health. Furthermore, the "Summit Starlight Night" film appreciation event on May 25th provided students with a healing and cultural experience.
Strengthening Practical Skills: Building a Warm and Supportive Atmosphere
Beyond caring for students' psychological growth, the Residential Colleges are committed to cultivating students' independent living skills and providing academic support:
- Practical Life Skills: The " Home Repair Workshop" held on March 19th and 24th taught students basic repair techniques, helping them enhance their self-sufficiency and create a more comfortable living environment.
- Warm Support: During the mid-term exam period, the "' Dorm Vegetarian Day ~ Mid-terms ALL PASS" activity was launched, providing warm nourishment and encouragement to students to create a supportive and caring dormitory atmosphere.
The Residential Colleges and Housing Services Section stated that this semester’s series of activities aims to define the "dormitory" as a shared space for learning and growth. In the future, the university will continue to integrate more social issues and innovative activities, allowing students to accumulate diverse capabilities during their residential life and leave behind a rich and resilient experience during their time at Asia University.
